THE WINTER WRATH (AVAILABLE AT BOOKBABY BOOKSHOP AND AMAZON BOOKS)
Marie gets out of the car to get in front. She wears a brown cotton skirt that's, somewhat, poofy with ruffled layers. It has a cotton slip sewn inside, too. She wears a white linen blouse that flows when the air touches it. Her jacket is a soft creme fleece. She tries to flatten her skirt as she sits, not so close to him.
Marie: "How'd you know I was behind you?"
Garrett: "I could feel your breath on my neck, Maree. Move closer."
Marie: "I didn't shave my legs today."
But she slides over. Course, it's not enough. Garrett's arm swiftly wraps around her waist to pull her tight. All she can do is let him. He leans in and kisses her. She puts her hand at the back of his neck. It's a sweet moment. But then, Garrett leans back.
Garrett: "I don't care if you ever shave. Maybe I like hairy legs."
Marie puts her nose under his chin. Her cheek smooths his day's beard. "I've waited for this."
44 It is sown a physical body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual which is first but the physical, and then the spiritual.
